Great Lakes Tunnel Update - August 26, 2025
Last Chance to Sign the Public Letter
The public comment period for the Great Lakes Tunnel construction permits is closing on August 29th, and we need your support! More than 40,000 hours of survey work was done in the Straits for the project over the past five years, making this one of the most thorough project reviews in Michigan's history. The Great Lakes Tunnel project is designed to enhance the safety of the Line 5 pipeline by relocating a portion of it from the water into a tunnel deep beneath the lakebed. This move will ensure the pipeline's safety and protect our precious Great Lakes. Have you signed the public letter yet? If not, please take a moment to do so by clicking the button below. Your signature can make a significant difference in urging regulators to issue the necessary permits immediately. Thank you for your continued support!
